Pink Belly on Motoro - Sign of Trouble??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have an externalcanister filter with uv and an internal filter just for the extra flow.
Yeah and regarding tank size I too know it's small. Will be upgrading in a few months. Right now aro is 10 inch and ray is 6 so they are just managing but I know it is not an excuse to keep them in this small tank for too long.

Thats not enough filtration for that tanksize and stock. You should prob do 50% twice a week in your tank with that bioload.

That has nothing to do with your substrate thats for sure. You need an bigger tank do bigger wc and up your filtrationgame for sure.
If I do more water changes will my buddy be all right.
I really can't afford to loose him . He's to most friendly and adorable little guy.

Yes but for now you need to fix an testkit. And you should up your wc game. And fix a bigger tank with heavy filtration asap. Always check your water with a testkit if in doubt.

I would STRONGLY recommend buying a test kit. Nitrate/Nitrite should at zero....if they are raised I would guess your ammonia is raised (which could cause the pink color...but everyone is right it is normal. I would also want to make the PH doesn't drop. BTW a ph of 6 is too low.....should be right around 7....this is IMPORTANT!!!
