pink color on belly ? Endli health question....

I noticed as my biggest Endli was swimming around he has some sort of a pink/red color centered on his underside from his pectoral fins going to about his butt.... I don't think I have seen it before I am wondering what it might be I am rather concerned He is eating well and acting normal but if he has some internal bleeding or something I want to know
This may sound silly but I love my Endli's please help ,

hmm hard to say. got a pic? i mean i would be concerned too if it weren't there before, so don't feel silly. good thing is at least its eating well and acting normal.

When I picked up some wild caught delhezi it had the same thing. I put it in a dark QT tank for 1 week with salt and half dose of parasite clear. The slime would shed each day and the red on the underside would lessen each day.

Do you have a qurantine tank? I would put it in the quarantine tank and treat it till it gets better. It's not that hard to treat but could kill if you don't do anything.

sounds like bacterial infection or something,my endli had it but 40% waterchange and added salt and its the problem was solved but pictures to be sure

Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20-40
PH As always 8.2

its probably just a bit of irritation caused from friction against ur elaborate decor. for example, the bichir gets spooked and shoots off into the closest structure. the result of it moving past or into the structure in close proximity would be irritation. think of it as if it were u running fast through a door way and u accidentally clipped ur arm. u might have bruise, but most likely the spot that hit the door would be red. an even better example: ur running on carpet and u tripped and got a carpet burn.
