This one?

"$100. This may be the only group of filamentosum cats that I bring in this year. They are only avialble for a few weeks out of the year as many of you know. Getting harder to get every season. Air cargo shipping ONLY which runs $55-65.00 on Southwest. If interested in several cats contact me directly: eastcoastzoo@hotmail.com. "

I spoke with him a few years back when he brought ~100 of these. $75.

Is this capa?

I don't pretend to be the resident expert on big pims, but I will say that those look more like caps than they do filas from what I've seen of the few confirmed, real filas on here.

ECZS does have piraiba....aka brachyplatystoma filamentosum .They are not 1-3k but 75-$150. I had 4 at one time and a few members here and on the other site had them as well.

If I'm correct the one with the silver iridescence is b. rousexauii or however you spell it. I've been out of the fishkeeping thing for a while now

this is what you are referring to right? http://www.predatoryfishkeepers.com...-Picture´s-from-Berlin-(-Germany)&language=ga

Yep, Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii is the guilded cat with the silver/gold iridescence. It's also worth noting that these fish are absolute monsters in their own right. If not for the filamentosum, these would be the super popular one that everyone is drooling over. These guys routinely break 200 pounds as well.

These fish are probably the one fish I'll miss most if I do a dedicated African setup.

Was that yours? And hey maybe you can throw a couple "invasive" fish in there ;)

No, unfortunately. I just saved that pic because I loved the tail on that one.

What I meant by missed was that I'd miss the opportunity to get one. I kind of expect my African tank to evolve into a typical monster tank over the next couple of years though.
