piranahs are over-rated

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
piranha's were my first fish...and will remain my favorite fish always...red bellies only...beautiful color and definately undergoes major changes throughout its life...having owned atleast 12 seperate batches(traded back to the store after reaching above my limit to a 60 gallon for sweet tiny babies) i must say with age they grow much more aggresive

Well well well

The person who wrote this post doesn't really hold Piranha's close to his/her heart. Piranha fish are not just there to be aggressive, they have beautiful coloring, menacing looks, streamlined body and have personality's and territorial values when dealing with the larger species. I have has a 17" Black piranha and it is truly an amazing fish.

There far from overated.

if you guys want a real killer buy red tail, red tails eat pirhanas to breakfast and lunch..

but i miss my old pirhanas, they was so nice and non fish are so good looking as a pirhana

Oh...that red tail, it's late and I'm tired...lol

:WTF: This thread bites, get rid of it...

Yeah films made them up to be something they are not!
But some of the big Rhoms that would try to take your hand off every time you try to clean the tank, are unforgetable, Ok not all rhoms are attacking all the time, but the cats drive nine up the glass, and he would eat them for dinner given half a chance!

 Paulice

We need to see more Rhom vidz like that...The interaction between keeper and Rhom makes me want to get one...I think videos like this have a significant affect on the decisions of a purchase...For example, awhile back(5-6 years ago) there was a video on a giant school of natts feasting upon a goat carcass...It was shot at some aquarium..All what was left was a head and backbone...After seeing this video, I started a shoal and began breeding...
