  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A solo neon tetra, would be bad ass in 55g. :D

j/k
What Diogenes said are the best options. of course you can get other small serra. species and use 55g as grow out, can last a good few years until you need upgrade.

most people say a 75g is too small for a shoal of RBP's, much less a 55g. A 55g is only 12.5" wide. RBP's can get up to 12". Would you put four 12" fish in a 55g? Some of the pygo peeps would know better than me but I believe a 125g is recommended minimum for 4 rbps.

Another good option would be S. sanchezi. Could live in there for life no problem. Most serras grow slowly enough that you could keep one in the 55g for a long time.

YES finally. Someone besides me thinks 55 gallons is way too small for a shoal of red bellies. 1 RBP will do OK in a 55.

You shouldn't all be shocked when a piranha or 2 dies in your 55 gallon, because that tank is way to small for more then 1.

Like Diogenes said, the sanchezi, or a manny for a while would be a perfect solo piranha for the 55.
