Very nice. How big are they?

I need to change to a black background on my tanks.. it makes the fish look so much better.

yea it does help and umm all are around 5-6 inch

nice =)

Nice shoal. Mine have lost a lot of that red color. I feed shrimp, hikari gold, superworms (gut-loaded with carrots), Massivore, krill and only fed goldfish about 4 times in the last year that I had them. I clean my tank faithfully every week... especially since I got black sand but I cant get the red to get intense like that anymore. :-( HELLLLLP!!!! lol

Awesome fish. Seems strange that you don't give a school of piranhas live food often. Isn't that supposed to be one of the big appeals of having such a blood thirsty fish?

Very clean tank.

My RBP's are anything but blood thirsty but feeding your Piranhas just to watch them kill a fish is a fast way to piss off a lot of people who love their P's. Not only is it not necessary but it can allow some pretty nasty diseases to be in direct contact with your P. I hope that if you decide to get a Piranha in the future you will learn a lot more about them, so you dont end up one of those people who buys one thinking their buying a "blood thirsty fish" and then dumps in a lake when its not...

As for your RBP losing color, there isn't enough information for us to say.
How big is your tank, what kind of lighting are you using(is it on, if so how long), how much cover do you have(can we see a pic), what are your levels(Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate), and when did they start losing color(did you start doing something different).
