Yeah...nature is ugly. So why should I worry about a species (humans) who's population is out of control and nature is trying to fix? Rats being eaten by fish in a fish tank is far from natural. Stop trying to justify it, it is human bloodsport. People are starving because of people, people also die in wars because they are started by humans. When was the last time you made some mac and cheese, put it in an envelope and sent it to Africa anyway.

Besides, I can worry all I want about the dieing people of the planet...that does not mean I don't have to feel bad for a rat that died a horrable death for human entertainment. Is there a rule that says you can only support one kind of cause and not another. It is not impossable to feel compastion towards all living things.

I seriously thought most the people on this forum were like that, good to see it's not.

I think that you will find that most people here would not feed mammals to thier fish, a friend came by with a small rat to feed my fish, I allowed it, once. I have also fed surplus ducklings to a marbled goby, that is not messy at all.
There are a fair number of people on this site who use no live food, others who drool to see rats torn apart, most are somewhere in between.
I like predators, I also like feeding a varied diet. I get no particular kick out of suffering but I do like watching a hujeta stalk and kill a feeder fish.

Unbeleivably cruel! Just awful! If only those b@st@rds could be thrown into a cage of lions. I only hope they are caught and prosecuted, if it is illegal. And it should be, if it isn't.
