Except mammal meat is in no way healthy for fish. It is not responsable fishkeeping.
I watched because I was curious, curiousity is human nature...are you going to tell me that if there was a video of something brutal on hereyou would not be curious and watch it at your own risk? So I disagree with it, big deal.
to each his own. i personally could not put anything fuzzy into my fish tank. i could see how one could not put a cute mouse in a pirahna tank, but it is no different then a feeder fish or frog. As for that oscar, he owns that tank and those pirahna. I had 4 rbp that cowered in the corner because my Jd would not let them anywhere else in the tank.

Dark, this is really nothig against you, but we are just simply stating our opinions about the cruelty of the video...If any one from the ASPCA saw that, they would deem it animal cruelty...and get the guy that made the video...Rats are not a staple diet of fish, and therfore this is not acceptable.....
I watched it because I was curious to see what it was....and I my jaw hit the floor....it is shocking to see, and I am sure that's what the guy was aiming for.
It IS different from feeding feeder fish....They are smaller, and can be eaten in a couple of gulps by most big fish....therefore no "pain" befalls the feeder fish...but a group of P's attacking a rat....I am sure that little guy was screaming....

CRY ME A RIVER. here goes sandtiger again. watch out. he has found ANOTHER reason to whine on our forum. why do yopu keep coming back if you are in the minority. i feed rats to snakes and monitor lizards so why the hell would the ASPCA put someone in jail for that? THEY WOULDNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the rat was bought at a pet store with the label FEEDER RAT on the cage it was pulled from. therefore it was destined to be fed to something. it doesnt say FEEDER FOR SNAKES. you are always here bashing on people for their videos. do us a favor and watch no more of them and dont tell us how BAD AND CRUEL we all are. you can have compassion for all living things and that is good. i commend you for that. but the only thing certain in life is death and it was that rats time to die. sometimes life sucks. and if you happen to see a video of a dog gettin ate by some p's then MAYBE i could see where you were coming from. key word being maybe. i think rats do feel pain, but his death was swift and to the point. im sure he didnt feel too much at all. he couldnt see what was coming to eat him so its not like he had to watch. one sec hes swimming the next his legs are ripped off and his belly is gutted. the rats where kept in very poor unsanitary conditions. . . and if someone would actually report it.

its obvious that he used a live rat as bait for entertainment purposes. which is just wrong. as their are alterative foods he could have used that would be just as good or better than a rat, if the rat was already dead that would be ok.
but because it was alive, he used it as a feeder to watch it suffer for his own ammusement even if it was quick and painful.
my point is that life decides the rats fate not some stupid ****er who has to inflict pain on innocent animals to get a kool vid to show off.
