Meh, I sprang for one, right now I'm set up with a Whisper air pump, Cascade heater and Emperor 280. If the water levels are right next weekend I'll probably order the P, I'm having to put PH lower er in though, it's at 7.6

what is your ph out of the tap? unless it is really high, i wouldn't bother adding chemicals to lower your ph, it is better to have a stable ph that is a bit too high than to have your ph changing all the time by using chemicals.
The ph of the tank water was roughly 7.6, however it hasn't had time to completely cycle.
Edit: It's down to a flat 7.0 now, and I don't think I put enough p lower er in to make a difference, only a few grains.

I think I've got most of my problems sorted out, but how long can P's live without power if I don't feed them?
a single Rhom or any Piranha will eat anything in the tank!!!!! if you want a active tank, then get a mixed Pygo Shoal!! bottom lines....or else get a shoal of Geryi, which i want in the future....but any piranha, "Will," eat anything..when it gets hungry..
