Lol yeah, that's why I'm going for the Rhom...does anybody know how long it could live (roughly) without power? This is concerning me, as I said, because I live in a rural area and we loose power frequently in the spring and summer.
like i said before, it all depends on how much effort you put into keeping him alive... if the power is off and you don't do anything, it could probably live for a day or so depending on the temps, you would likely have to cycle your tank all over again after you get power back.
if you pay close attention and do the things that i mentioned earlier, you could keep him alive for weeks without power.
i would say if there's a black out, and the power comes on, maybe the next day, your Rhom should be alright...
but for extra insurance, get a battery power air pump at least...
the bigger the tank, the longer time you should have if the power goes out...assuming it's not like weeks without power or something...then you would need to power those filters...lights wouldn't matter too much...
my crayfish lasted about a week and a half, he shed his skin 3 days before he got eaten. so when i came home and saw his head sitting at the bottom of the tank i thought he might have just shedded it that night, but when he wasn't in the tank the next day, i knew he was a midnight snack
from what i've read about P fishes, they don't do to good with crayfishes. shoot they will even eat each other out of hunger or just for the heck of it.
