piraya are killers

My 300 mixed shoal was going great for a long time, i started with 6 piraya , 13 caribe and one red. once in awhile i would find a fish half eaten in the morning , and it was usually a caribe. yesterday i found 1 of my 2 remaining caribe not looking so great by himself, after i got home from work i found his stomach bitten up and an eye missing but he was still swimming. i put him in a spare 60 gallon tank, he was 7 inches and very very wide. that left my 3 piraya and my 1 caribe in the 300. i fed them and hoped my bitten up fish would survive. i awoke to find my bitten up fish floating upside down and the perfectly healthy caribe HALF EATEN. i made sure i fed them that night but they still killed him. i noticed how the piraya keep to themselves and did not include the caribe. what a messed up day.

the easiest way to tell the difference is to look at their bellies. pirayas have a color pattern on their belly that reminds people of flames stretching across their bellies. very distinct characteristic that's unique to them. They also grow larger then red belly piranhas.

yes 3 bad mofos left, i cannot believe it. they seriously murdered the last healthy caribe. im not adding anymore piranha to the 300 but i was looking into some kind of dither fish. like a school of silver dollars, or a bunch of buenos aires tetras, i dont know if it will help..

rbp has red eyes and piraya has clear eyes. some of the color of piraya goes above lateral line

, i just dont understand why?? in this situation. why did they kill a perfectly healthy caribe right after they were well fed? could it have been a plot between the 3 piraya to kill the lone caribe?
it seems like the last 2 caribe were protecting eachother and once the caribe lost his buddy/protection the gang of piraya took him out... this is crazy stuff here . i always thought they killed out of hunger.
