no you rookie, these are pygocentrus piraya., the giant yellow piranha from east brazil, $90 is fair, a bit cheap actually.

you're thinking about a hydrolycus scombroides, payara, the sabertooth, different animal. plus piranahas are illegal in california so even a red belly would cost you $30.00. haha

first of they arent even legal in socal.
second even thru importers they are still about $80 at a min at about 3 in.
third if you can buy them for $30 each. you should buy and resell them i'd give you $60 a fish +shipping for everyone you can buy. doubling your money. PM me when you want to do it. and send me a pic of the fish.

$90 is a fair price for a piraya. in a 180 i'd get 5 or 6.

If you get the chance to drive to Mississauga , Ontario
a fish store called " Dragon Acquadic" in China Town have some pirayas for sell
they have got six 1.5 inch pirayas for $75 each
and three 4" ones for $175 each
If you want buy all 6 small ones, I think you can get them for $65 each at least~~
