I'm glad you like the Buenos Aires Tetra's their really cool fish and my albino one loved live insect's, like crickets. Just remeber they also like fruit/veg in their diet.
They are also really tolerant to lower temps, i kept mine in a pond till it got to about 12°C/53°F maybe colder, can't remember.

I'm sad to admit that I am addicted to buenos aires tetras. Lol so I went to petsmart once again because their sale is ending like in 5 days with their one dollar sale. And I go and see some buenos aires and I see these really nice looking ones and couldn't resist buying whatever they had left except this one half dead one which had some weird sideways swimming thing and so I get the two nicest ones that I've ever seen and the girl can't catch them with a 10" net in a split 55 gallon (you guys know how they split the tanks to sell stuff) and I have to catch them lol it was hilarious because these are probably the fastest fish I've ever seen. So I pick them out and get them then bought 20 rosy reds. I drop in the rosy reds in my 2.5" Oscar tank and he has had it with these fish in his territory and he is waiting to eat them! So I drop them in I get it all settled and turn on the lights and see a rosy red eating a goldfish flake I drop in and he just swallows it whole and just the tail is sticking out of his mouth. Picture perfect moment couldn't get a good shot though and as I'm writing this he just ate two more. Damn he has had it with these other fish in his tank. But the two buenos aires i got fit in perfectly and I'm gonna breed the other 10 minnows in my extra tank. Please explain how to breed the rosey reds not really familiar with egg layers but rather live bearers. Thanks!

I think the black bellie piranhas stay smaller. But the reds are really cool fish to keep! I had 3 of them before i moved to florida and they were really interested fish. Wish i still had them.

If you are referring to Serrasalmus Rhombeus, a.k.a the black piranha; then no, wild specimens are reported to get around 2'. I have an 8.5" one myself :)
