beautiful pits everyone! i love the pics!
i have to say, people will argue this pit bull aggression issue to the grave, but i believe it all comes back to the owner. if a dog is not raised in violence and neglect (and it is well socialized with humans, other dogs and small animals)-it won't be aggressive. I have a friend that has 3 pits, and they are great dogs. Ultimately, damage is done to the dog when it is used as a status symbol or guard dog versus a loved pet that isn't hit or kicked around or tied to a chain and ostracized from its "pack".
That being said, it takes a very dominant (alpha) person to own the strong headed pits-all dogs need to be part of a pack with a dominant leader (NOT THEM!) over them-that makes for a mentally stable and calm submissive dog. They thrive off of structure and leadership. This goes for all dogs. even those little ankle biters that are so nasty lol (IMO, those are worse than pits!)
its just my .02 cents, and i know it doesnt matter lol
