yeah.. The amount of stupid around here is almost funny.

All too true...... I think the best thing I've ever seen down there was a tow truck flipped over in a ditch in front of a Wendy's.

Amazing dogs , i wish i could have one but mum and dad wont let me as they dont like all the stories they have heard about them bitting people , but what i say is , it's the owner which makes the dog be agressive or nice or stupid or crazy or what ever , I have a 1year old Lab' and it's nicest , funnest dog ever , but if i wanted to i could train him too be a very agressive dog too bit everyone he sees just like if someone has a Pitbull , Staffie' type dog if the person wanted to they could train the dog to rip bits out of people or trian the dog to love everyone/ thing it sees .

I have lots of mates that have Pit's and Staffie's and they have trained them to be very nice , friendly dogs . But i have one friend that has trained his too dogs to be very nice dogs but if he says one surten word they will turn to little S***s and bark and try and bite and will if there not on leads ! but that is how he has trained them to be great friendly dogs but to be very pretective when need be !

Sorry to blabber on but thats how i feel !
So want on when i move out and get my own house , a Pit' or Staffie' or even a cross bewteen both as they are lovely litter dogs .

True.. not a good thing to train any dog to attack for any reason though, shame on him....

Pits and Staffies are about the same thing, if you register a pit with AKC they call it a Staffordshire terrier, if you register it with UKC they call them american pit bull terriers.
Staffordshrie bull terriers area different thing alltogether, I want one, they're adorable.

True. With a Pit (or almost any dog, for that matter) there need not be any training to make them protective. Most dogs can and will sense when their owners are in trouble, and react accordingly.

Yep, I know 3 of my 4 dogs would protect me, the one who goes the other way when something is wrong is our schnauzer. Tink showed how protective she is again this morning, someone selling god knows what came to our fence to talk with my neice(I was on my way out when he started walking over) and Tink ran over and sat on my neice's feet and made a huge *snort* at the guy. My small mix breed dog actually jumped off of a bench we were on and lunged at a man who grabbed my friend's arm and tried to drag her to his car, Sparkles latched on and shook her whole body until he let her go. For one so small he was torn up. I guess he didn't think anything of her because she looks so sweet and small. Our old female GSD has never bit a single person, but she has shown how protective she is.

Even our toothless poodle did that! He scared off a pit bull that was trained as an attack dog (owner was a total jerk). It made no sense, unless the pit was horrified by how ugly this poodle was......

Sparkles ftw!!!! Small dogs are usually the the ones you have to look out for. I once saw a man get his wrist broken by a chihuahua:screwy:

I just found a small female pit, maybe mixed wth staffordshire bull terrier, and a male pekinese.. they were running back and forth by my fence, by being mean or anything, all of our dogs were though.
So I went out and got them both, the female has been bred so many times, her 'teets' were actually messed up looking, lumps here and there and the back end was the same way.. and to make it worse she was in heat, which is why the peke was with her, I had a hard time keeping him away form her.. and he was having some kind of heatstroke.
The pit was beautiful.. and ACO picked her up just now, he said she'll probably go up for adoption.

Is she going to the Newport News SPCA? We're painting wall murals there for Kappa Pi to brighten the place up. Here's my idea for one of them. I call it "Creation Of Dog"
