Pitbulls attack mother, kills child(4 years old)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Some dogs were bred to hunt, some to herd, some to pull sleds, some to protect, some to fight. I have no issues at all with pit bulls. I know several people who own them and they are wonderful pets. But you need to remember what they were bred for if you are going to own one. If you let them think they are the alpha in the house, you may have problems.

I'm pro pit bull. I know if the groups gain a foothold that my beloved German Shepards are next.

how many people must die before we realize we need to rid the world of pit bulls??

they're only good for illegal fighting and making gangsters look hard and legit

can't tell if trolling, or ignorant.

I have no issues with shepards, we shared a commercial lot with a building company. the owner brought his shepard to work one day, a full grown expensive shepard. red was loose in the yard as ussuel(sp) red latched onto his neck, we all went to break it up, get them apart. red had clamped and could not let go, she, yes a girl, was whining, she wanted to let go but could not. we eventually got her jaws apart, same pit, lit into a bull dog that his wife owned, no rime no reason they had grew up together, he ripped the front and the back of her neck open, little pug, clamped on its back and broke its spine.

again, there is a dark and unpredictable side to these dogs.

and just want to make clear, we talking about the most friendly dog you ever want to meat,

Dog to dog aggression is a breed characteristic that can't be denied, dog to human aggression isn't a breed characteristic of the APBT. Any responsible APBT owner wouldn't allow unsupervised interaction with a unfamiliar dog.

I think part of the problem is many peoples experience with APBT is limited to a 20/20 special they saw or some other media headline.

I agree. Where to draw the line? How about just APBT, Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier and maybe Boxers and Bull Dogs. Maybe Cane Corso and all mastiffs too. Catahoulas can be aggressive maybe restrict them too. Maybe just put weight limits, any dog over 80lb should be deemed a dangerous breed?

never saw 20/20 thing you speaking of and take medias word for crap. the debate can go on for ever, i only ask that you look up the numbers.

Oddly enough I live in region with a high percentage of APBT ownership but a very low percentage of attacks, not sure the reason behind it.

I'm curious as to the history of the owner and how much violent crime have they been involved in, if any?
