i've seen full grown wild african bullfrogs catching doves while they were drinking water. they are hungry buggers and have hardcore teeth.

hmmm that give me an idea, I might start trapping house sparrows to feed my Pixies this summer:grinno: (House sparrows are not protected species they're considered pest)

nice great quality pics

great frogs. i miss mine. had him for 12 years or so. i would reccomend a more aquatic environment for pixies-- with out dirt. i had a few and the one in dirt, hybernated and died. watch your fingers when they get bigger!!

I would go for the different setup but these guys produce alot of waste and fouls the water up real quick. With the waterdish, they just releive themselves in there and makes it easier to just dump out the waters and quickly rinse. I don't really want to have to clean out whole enclosure everyday.

wouldnt' look too natural but good idea:ROFL:

BTW I never used water right out the tap, only filtered(reversed osmosis).

Hmmm I might have to look into that, as the waters I use have nothing in them, just pure water. How long have you been using the product? Wouldn't it be harmful to them in the long run absorbing calciums thru their skins?

here's a pic I took yesterday of the larger of the two I have, it's alittle bigger than last week and it's stripe on it's back is starting to fade:headbang2
