as for the tank I'm just going to get one of those aqueon rectangular glass tanks.
      either the standard 30 gallon (36.5" x 13.25" x 17.13")
      or a 30 gallon breeder (36.88" x 18.75" x 13")
my only issue with the 30 breeder is it's short, but I guess that's good for the bamboo...
all depends on whichever one i can find for a better price.

      Well i found a place that sells tanks for reasonable prices... I'm thinking about a 36 x 18 x 13, it's $121.

by any chance would goldfish be fine with riccia moss? i was thinking i could use it as a grass like plant on the ground as well as floating
or would the goldfish eat it if it were floating
if not i can just stick to weeping moss...

With goldfish your best bet is to experiment with different plants. If the moss you're talking about is expensive in your area probably give it a miss for moneys sake, but if its a decent price and you can afford it grab some and try it. It might get eaten, it might not.

At the end of the day if they want to eat it you won't stop them, and all goldies will like different plants to some extent. Your best bet would be to just buy small amounts of each plant to test and make note of which ones are destroyed, which ones are nibbled and which ones are completely ignored then you know what will and won't survive your goldies particular palette. :)

Good luck and please do share pictures when you get the tank fully set up, personally I'd love to see more dedicated goldie tanks on mfk, even if they're not "monster" in size. :D

Of course I'll share pics... And the mosses I'm getting are only $7-$8.

I'd try it, the worst that can happen is you pay $8 for a goldfish snack. :)
