Planning on getting a tattoo!

We all know you want to get a tattoo of your girl friend. Wouldnt that mean so much more as a first tattoo?
How romantic.
Then get your tribal tattoo.

Get what you want it's your skin. If you want your name on you... get it. I know tons of people who are covered in tats and not every tat means something. If you see something you like on the internet or a flash book or wherever take it to your artist and talk with them about making it unique for you.

)Muff-Man, why do you want a Tattoo that someone else has? Think of something Original or atleast something in a book (one that no one you know has)..

I agree with Westie, best thing to do is, come up with an idea you really like which hopefully has some meaning to you and then think about it for a year... Then if after a year you still feel as strongly about the design and idea, then you could go consider getting the tattoo...
Just please do not get any thing you can find on the wall of a tattoo shop (known as flash art), or something you found online!!! using something you found online as a reference is okay, but please NEVER EVER copy a tattoo exactly as it is, coz that just makes it another generic tattoo plus if its a custom piece you'll enjoy it all the more knowing its a one off piece...

Even if your married to the person, its still not a good idea... the ONLY names i ever recommend people get tattooed (If they have to have a persons name) is their children's name's if they have any... since at least that has meaning...
One thing i did forget to mention, when it comes time to get the tattoo, be sure to research, research, research... find the best possible artist for the type of tattoo you want...
Nothing worst than finding the perfect idea, getting all hyped up and then having a dodgy tattoo artist do the work for you and botch it up just coz you wanted to save a few bucks...
Coz as many here have already told you, once its on your skin theres no turning back... and if its a botched tattoo, even a cover up will not completely cover the mistakes made especially if the skin's all raised from said tattoo...
Oh, and this should be obvious, but make sure the tattoo artist uses new needles and sterilized equipment... since i'm sure you don't want to be picking up any nasty **** the last customer(s) may or may not have...
