planning to order another flowerhorn to my collection

I would not advise using anything freeze dried. Frozen blood worms aren't all that expensive(couple dollars more than freeze dried). Freeze dried in my opinion, is only comparable to flakes food.
A big fish around 8" would be ideal to be fed every other day. For heaters, use a 300W heater from Eheim Jager and set the appropriate temp. It should have enough power to keep it warm during the winter and it shouldn't overheat either(it shuts off when temperature is met). Eheim Jager have a really thick wall and I have never witness any fish breaking it. It may perhaps be the best heater you can get for one that is made out of glass. And if you want to spend some money on a serious heater, get something titanium(these are nearly $100 or more - for a quality titanium heater).

alright cool. hey i really need your opinon. im having trouble picking out a quality flowerhorn. there are so many to choose from on aquabid. my dad wants to buy a 8 inch from lakefishex with super big kok and all for like $280 bucks. with shipping from julie gonna be over $300.. i was thinking of buying a smaller flowerhorn, maybe a 4-5 inch with a monster kok for much cheaper, like maybe $150 and raising it. i have a 110 right now its empty lol. Which one would be better in the long run? the 8 inch adult or the 4-5 inch juvees? and i cant tell if the buy is really worth it lol. i really want a good one though cause i mean im paying top dollar for a really good flowerhorn.

The 5 inch has WAY more potential than the 8 inch big boy. In my opinion. And yes, the bigger the fish, the more it cost. Mainly because of the water weight.

alright, well i guess ill grab the 5 incher. i was kinda skeptical though cause i thought short bodies dont grow that big.. do u know how big they can grow?

I've seen short body grew massive, upward into the 10 inches zone. It's the bonsai that really doesn't get pass the 7" mark at full grown.

Alright cool. Oh yeah when feeding the fish the food with the dog dewormer what if the fish doesn't eat it? Cause when flowerhorns have hex or anything, dont they lose their appetite? Also, do I need to remove the activated carbon because I heard activated carbon can absorb the medicine making it ineffective right?

Your fish should eat if it's blood worms. If it doesn't want to eat anything anymore, then mix the medication in a hospital tank(20 - 40 gallons depending on the size of your fish). Carbon does not need to be removed if your fish is being fed with medicated blood worms, since the medication are being absorbed internally and not externally. In a hospital tank, you would need to remove your carbon in order for the medication to go in effect without getting absorbed.

Oh ok. Does a medicine tank need to be cycled? Like I have one that's empty. Idk whether I should leave the filter running so the beneficial bacteria would survive and the tank would be cycled. I mean who leaves an empty tank running lol.. Since I gave my fish that were in the hospital tank away I've just turned off the filter, air pump, etc and just left the water there...
