Okay so ive decided either i get mh's or i spend some time searching for t5's.

Tank size. 30Lx30Hx24W" 92 gallons (76Lx76Hx60Wcm)
Lighting options:

1x150 watt bulb on a MH. 5000kelvin. on a 3foot housing+ 2x30W t8's.
or
Some form of t5's. Please suggest some types. not brands just watts kelvin etc?

Substrate. what is the best form of substrate i was thinking pea gravel with dupla stuff (nutrient stuff for substrate). or if i kan find some specialized Plant substrate with dupla. can you guys recommend a type of substrate (gravel sand etc.)?
anyone who lives in brisbane who knows a shop that sells some please tell me where/pm me? ive heard using multiple subtrates are good. please tell me if they are and what combo works?

Filtration.
my tank will be densly planted do i need a filter?

Halides would work well on that tank. I wouldn't use 5000K though, I'd move up to 6700K at least. For substrate either pure ADA Aquasoil or Flourite are both very good products. Eco complete is good, but exhausts fairly fast.

okay so halides would work on the 24 and 30 inch long? okay will try and find theese brands of soil do i need to combo them? also what is ada and EI injection?

EI is a fert regime that some people use, it involves dosing your tank 3-6 times a week, with higher levels then the tank needs, then at the end of the week, doing a large (50%) water change.

ADA is Aqua Design Amano.

Filtration is still very important to have. I run an Eheim 2078 on my 135g, with a Rio 10HF and Fluval 4+ for current movement. I also have carbon in the fluval for polishing, and removing tannins.

Don't have the returns at the water level. My rio sits at the bottom of the tank, the fluval does too, but the output is far above, but still a good 6" down. The Eheim utilizes the spraybar, and has no surface agitation.
