  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Is there something specific your interested in diy for your tank? I can tell what I do but there's tons of information out there. Your already doing Co2 so you got that covered.

Cant think of anything at the moment that's not covered. I am planing on building a wooden good for my 65 gallon native tank. Same length and width as a standard 55 gal. Just taller. That's my next thing I want to do anyway. As soon as the money is available.

I also considered building sumps for both of my larger tanks. I have watched some videos from Joey, "The King Of DIY" and learned some things. I want to do a fluidized bed, even though it's the louder of the sumps, it is the most efficient.

I built an overhead sump for my 220. But I will admit not much experience when it comes to sumps.
all I have on the planted tank is an aquaclear 110. I have found out through experimentation that I just don't need much filtration with all the plants in there.

Gotcha. I tend to over stock my tanks, and always put as much filtration as I can on them. I do water changes every 3 days of about 25% since I have so many fish in there.

I also never saw an over head sump. That's awesome!
Works the same way just pumping the water up to the sump then it gravity feeds back to the tank.
My tanks are in a separate building by my home. So noise and making everything beautiful for the wife isn't a problem. ;)

Yeah, when i saw your seriously bright lights and no algae i thought it was likely you were dosing with the full spectrum of ferts + Co2...
