Fish landed-I-12, Dennis-2

Work is slow so instead of stressing Dennis and I went out to Gropps for eight hours. I dont know if it was the drastic drop in the air temp but the bass and CP werent active at all. I did find a cove that had crappie seating down on the bottom in 15ft of water. I was able to land 10 of them and a little bass on the "jiggy jig". In that same spot D got a small bass and before we gave up for the day I banged a 14 incher by just letting the chatter bait fall to the bottom in about 14ft of water, and Dennis got a 2.8 on the "spinny right on the bank by the bridge.

PS-I kept three crappie that were in the 10" mark.....

SUPER slow day but ha beats a shunk !!!!

Fish landed-4

Met my lady on her lunch break today in Robinsville and afterwards I did some lake hopping at three different places, gave each spot about thirty minutes each. First stop was a little spot I seen while we were headed to a pizza joint, banged two little 9-11'ers and let a CP get off. They were small but catching them in the lillys by ripping the spinnie threw is alot fun. Second spot is called Allentown lake and is actually the palce I met Dennis at back in 09'. Anyway the lake is still closed to all boats but MANNN I wish it wasnt cause it looks great now. Fishing wise I was able to land a decent 12"er on the spinnie and miss something huge on the lipless . Thrid and final stop of the day was my little spot in Hamilton where I was able to bang one on the spinnie inside the lillys.

I love my boat like no other but lake hopping brings back alot of memories.....

Closed to all boats does that mean you cant even kayak or canoe??? we have alot of no motor lakes around here

They put in a new bridge and since then the baot ramp has been locked. Im really starting to think the locals did it cause its a small nit town that probably didnt like all the boat traffic. Its a decent size lake too not to small and not too big with a very good layout far as cover and structure goes. I see all the houses on the lake have the jons on thier docks so I know they are fishing it but with the ramp being lacked us outsiders with boats dont stand a chance......

No I guess if u can get ur vessel down to the water you might be ok but for someone like me that has a trailor, your done.....................

Fish landed-I-7, Jose-3

Well Well Well I decided to give "Mercer" a shot for the first time this year. The day started at 8:45 and from there it was NOTHING happening and after hitting all my spots that I usually kill'em at I couldnt take it NOMORE. So Dennis and I packed it in around 1pm. I know they probably would have turned on but after being at a spot all those hours and not seeing any action its easier for me to just to change locations. So my next choice of the day was "Etra". It too was slow when we got there but after my boy Jose arrived at 3 they turned on !! I landed my first on the "cranky crank" and within the next two hours I landed some on the 'spinny", and the lipless came through for me again. Jose landed a bass an a CP on the "spinny" and a bluegill on a small jerk bait. Dennis some how didnt land nothing but him and Jose were responsable for me losing a spinning combo that got knocked in the water cause D was stuck on a laydown which caused him to loose his balance then causing Jose to fall and BOOP pole over board :irked:.

Skunk at Mercer, lost a pole but due to some decent action it was another fun trip :headbang2
