Well I have been experimenting a little with low light plants..

Amazon Swords... My chemistry is very obiously not right for them... They have taken quite a while to pass 3-8"..... I have them resprout and take on beautiful leaves...

I noticed Other members have succeeded with them in our Cichla tanks... But I haven't the cash to afford some of the lighting I have also noticed...

Still I threw the swords in and they have lived for over six months now in my 250..

I have to re plant them sometimes. this is not a problem though. Mainly as they look just as good floating as they do planted.. other than when the root bud is visible....

Well To cut it short.. My friend BStuver who is also on here.. Come over today and gave me more plants :D

SEE!!

So we will see how they do :)

Sorry I was speakin of other things I was doing :)

lol nah they look good, i like plants but they are a pain in the ass when keeping larger fish and they take up alot of room. i need to get some new ideas for lighting since my kelberi splashed water into the bulb socket of my tek t5 kit and fried it up.. zaaaappp and darkness fell upon my as i stared in awe. so now i need needs lights or i may try to pull the ballests
