man that planted tank is gorgeous i want to do plants do but like boost said they're a pain in the kisser any updated pixs

Not if you know what you are doing. To me my basses look better in a planted tank, probably because they feel more at 'home'. Not forgetting that plants also help take up excess nitrite, nitrate and other harmful metals. My sandy substrate is another home to house zillions of bacteria that help break down nitrite and possible nitrate (denitrifying in anearobic deep sand bed). Try it and enjoy the fun and learning process!
