You said earlier that when you held a square to the bottom corner of the tank it had a 1/16" gap... I would think this would make a good picture to represent the issue...

basically, the tank is supported in the middle but NOT the corners/ends right?
this is, as far as I understand it, not a good situation, particularly if they are saying that their particular tank must have all 4 sides evenly supported otherwise breakage could occur..
