The finnage still has the spots on it and is of the wrong color. Which is a dead giveaway that this guy has been made "white" by keeping him in a white background environment for several months before taking this picture.

I've seen the real item before. The finnages have no spotting whatsoever and the color is not weak like this guy has. The shine is just not there.

He says he can't confirm if its bred in Xian Leng? Just email them and ask if they breed Platinum Jardinis. And in any case i'm sure they would be interested to know if anyone was tarnishing their reputation.

Saw the pic of the fish...it is far from 'White Snow'...white snow jardinis are flawlessly paper or milk white and most of thr time, no spots on the tail.

Also, I highly doubt XL breeds Jardinis. Its just not viable for them. They are masters of Asian Aro breeding and just no point going into Jard breeding. As Jard's are easily available and cheap.

Just my comment on this..hope potential buyers can do more checks before jumping in.

Is it common practice for people to con others into buying a false species? Is there not a way to avoid this from happening again?

There should be a way to report con-artists to the Administrator of E-bay. :swear:
