I have seen these fish stay in stores for up to 3 months with no color change. I just used the pic of them in the tub because its the only one I could find. If they change these fish with their surroundings then how do they get the silver jardini? use silver rocks? I am just as ignorant in these fish as most people but I have seen them on dark substrate and not change color. also as I stated previously platinum aro's are silver you stated that they were paper white not me. I simply pointed out the difference. I am just looking for answers and stating my thoughts on the subject so please don't take any offense to this conversation. bottom line though as we both stated these aro's are not rare and people should only pay what they are worth. which isn't anywhere close to what some scammers are asking for them.. thanks for all of your information I just wish I could afford to experiment with this and see for myself.. happy fish keeping

Three mths is kinda short.

my aim is to let ppl know regardless if its silver or not. Its not worth the price its been quoted for.

u need a totally dark environment to reverse the process. Something more common her because we normally cover the 3 sides of our tank with black oyama paper inclusive of base.

Platinum color is debateable. yes i know i said it was supposed to be paper white. Yet paper white ones are considered to be Snow colorations at times. And hence they are grouped together w the really shiny silver ones under Platinums.

Dude, there is no offense but i do not want to see fellow hobbyists get cheated over so-called different color morphs and get charged a bundle extra when in fact they're all the same. Happy fishkeeping.

point taken, very insightful.. thanks for your knowledge I am glad you are helping interested people out here.. I agree those fish are not worth what they ask.. thanks again
