I have a buttload of platy and guppy fry in constant supply. Other than using them as feeders, can I do anything else with them? I have fed some to my other fish but I want to know if I can put them to any better use. Would the LFS buy these?

Also, am I going to see an increased occurence in mutations if I kept breeding amongst the offspring?

I would just leave the fry in the tank if you don't want them. They should get eaten if you have enough fish in there...

it never hurts to check with your lfs if it comes down to flushing them or making a couple of bucks even if its below wholesale if they will take them i dont see a problem with it

Years ago I had a 40L guppy tank with bunches of plants. They raised so fast that once a week I would put a small net full into each cichlad tank.
The same thing would have happened in Nature.

You will eventually see some issues with inbreeding. It is prudent to occasionally quarantine and add new stock. Use Endler guppies for better overall health. I haven't worked with platies, but if you can find the wild type you'll be better off.

I also breed mine as an excellent live food. We keep the males in some smaller tanks throughout the house as eye candy, the big majority are kept a few males to many mommas, and supply us with lots of little gups for chow and snacks.

the lfs will sometimes take them, but guppies are such superb breeders as well as the plats, that they are usually full up on what they will take.

If you ever have a small tub that you put water plants outside in, they're great for eating the mosquito larvae.
