play sand

it took like 3 hours for the sand to settle in my 55, shouldn't take that long in a 10. just be patient.
 
its been a day and its still merky.... w.e patients is a vurtue..... but im gona take some water out and put some fresh water in

that would be your best bet do a big water change 50% or more...

Wash it very thoroughly.. Expect to spend hours washing it.

I've used it in an African tank. It's cool to see the cichlids spiting it, but not worth the hassle, IMO.

You have to keep it stirred up to prevent anaerobic activity (sulfur bubbles).

When stirred up the water gets cloudy.

I am switching back to gravel myself.
