i would never use sand for a reptile. it causes impactions and sometimes has fatal results. almost lost one of my leopard geckos to it.
Check out the new ABA hits dedicated to herp keepers with sand issues:D:"Mama mia trow me sand again, why dont you leave me alone
Mama mia here go with sand again bla bla:ROFL::grinno:
Now really I was 100% with you but after seeing how many keepers here are able to do it without any probs Im now parcialy pro-sand. Unless with young animals and sick ones you can use it;) Dont use calci sand and practise good husbandry tecnices should keep you out of harms way. But lets hear from you about your gecko:popcorn:

ive been using sand for around 6-7 years or so off and on and i have never once had an issue. ive kept beardies, leos, uros all on sand and never had a problem. if they were going to get impacted from it then the wild populations would die off as well.

any way back on topic.

is the sand working alright for you?

the sand is working great, i wish i would of started using in years ago.
