State of chaos
Mods I am very sorry but I need prompt response that just isn't available in the Inverts section.:(
My Snail, Gary, was stuck to the glass but not crawling so I tapped on the glass. He jumped off and curled into his shell and hasn't come more than half way out for about 2 1/2 hrs. He'll come halfway out, then just curl up again. I've become kindof attatched to him so please tell me what's going on.:(
Once again I apologize to the moderators for putting this in the wrong forum temporarily.

Understood

What is the SG? Inverts are very very sensitive to changes in SG (I found out the hard way)

gambusia holbrooki.
the part i just cant wrap my head around is how alert he is. He'll open a tiny bit, but he'll retract in less than a second if you tap on the tank. Maybe he's traumatized by the fish?

Thats a fish....

What snail do you have?

ok, so freshwater?

hes not doing so good. i know it sounds dumb but i got really attached to the snail. he was so active, hed be across the tank every 5 minutes. he never ate carrots or anything, just scraped algae off the glass with his teeth. im really sad right now.
honestly im questioning wether or not im meant to be a fishkeeper or just a fish lover if i cant keep a pond snail alive.
some people cant get rid of them, i cant keep them.

well hes moving around nw, but slowly. i put in some big pieces of lettuce but he never seemed to eat lettuce. maybe hell find some old fish flakes in the gravel.
