Alex, I like you and all..
but there is really no excuse for letting that animal be sold to the public, even if they WANTED it.. you should know better. That is a very sick and half-dead animal, and you should of either given it away free or held it and fed it until it was healthy. NO EXCUSE.
Don't play this "well uh he wanted it uh I had no choice uhh he chose that one".. a responsible vendor would of educated and warned his customers that this ray was unhealthy. Between this and this Mis-Identification of that Scobina, it really makes you a questionable ray vendor.
..and What is with this "all rays don't come in looking like steak", comment?.. Don't you go to a wholesaler and hand-select your fish?? How the hell did that fish go to your tanks? Was it a profit margin issue? Got it for free? Need to pay rent? Why was the ray not left at the wholesaler? Sounds shady to me.. like your were trying to pull a fast one on someone who was less knowledgeable. This isn't the first time you've had your name drug through the mud either, but every time it happens it's everyone else's fault, and you have a rationalization for the situation.
It's situations like this that give vendors a hard time and blemished reputation, and allow consumers to think Stingrays are "so hard to keep".. but as I have said so many times before, they are dead before you purchase them.
Pisses me off beyond believe.. You know better. Shame on you. I don't really care what your excuse is, because a picture is worth a thousand words..
