this is a good sign. keep at it. lot's of food and clean, warm water is your best hope

her water was in the mid to high 80s. someone advised me to gradually lower it to around 76-78. now her water is at 79

been watching this thread since it started, glad shes eating, and im hoping for the best!

thanks

Do water changes OFTEN as in daily in that ten gallon! Ten gallons simply is not enough water volume to keep a ray of any size in. Ammonia spikes would be sudden and deadly in such a small tank.

Those pictures make me sick. How could you even buy that ray? For two fish plus $100 for that matter! I once bought a motoro in bad shape (1000% better then yours though) and paid less then $40 because of it.

she'll be getting moved to a new tank in a few days i just want to get some more weight on her. yeah it was stupid to get her but like i said i really didn't want the 2 fish and i drove down there 40+ miles in a small snow storm to get a motoro so that what i did and the tank didn't have a light on it there was a foam cover in it so it was hard to see. if i saw that crater between the eyes i definatly would have not gotten it the crater reminds me of TRIPE i hate it. sometimes when the black worms go in it and ball up....forget it i don't want to think about it. i hope the crater fills in

I'm just glad the ray looks better. Let's keep our focus on that. If you don't want to deal with FRP, then don't. Simple as that....no reason to keep bashing the guy.

I agree with JD's recommendation to change the water often.......you probably should do it every day and test the water often. 10 gallons is small. The indentation in the head is definitely filling in well. Please keep posting pics every couple of days so we can see her progress. Good luck sir.

At least she is looking a bit better. Keep feeding her LOTS and I hope she pulls through.

Thanks for the pics! You're doing a good job with her.

Side note- Its good to see so many people care. We're all hoping she makes a full recovery. Good luck!

Like CSX said keep the water 85-86. Raise it back up gradually and black worms live in water. Dont take them out. Try to make sure she has them in there at all times. Looks like she is doing better! Keep up your efforts. Do water changes at least every other day but not too much, like 20% maybe cause u dont want to change any of your levels from adding the tap water or it will stress her. Good luck john
