Nitrate at 0? How long has this tank been set up? I have never had an established tank at 0ppm nitrate. Must be nice

you may want to consider feeding it something else... if its still small its very critical it eats enough nutrients per day ... go and get some small guppies or mollies or tetras or mealworms or crickets.
they sed it was eating bloodworm before, its only small, about 4 inches and my tank has been set up for 3 months
I bought mine yesterday, and unless he ate some ghost shrimp yesterday, I dont think he has eaten either......He is swimming around like a champ though, what a cool ass fish!
i feed mine krill and bloodworms its cool cause he attacks the bloodworms like they are alive... have a jardini, but had a silver with him too at one time. i think everyone knows what happened there that owns a jardini.
Try buying Hikari freeze dried krill and tear a small piece of the tail off of one of them, crush it up in your fingers and sprinkle it in front of his face. My 2"er loves it. He goes on a feeding frenzy.
