Nope these are all 100% Tigrinum... Recticulatum is way diff lol..

No these are suppose to be example of tigrinum except for maybe the 3rd pic.on the id chart it says tigrinum have no spots on the head where reticulum does?

Only reason i figured it out is because somehow i was lucky enough to aquire a tigrinum and recticulatium on accident. They both looked very odd to me for many yrs. Before i finally put 2 and 2 together so im always glad to look for pics and help our community. Sometimes the "basics" can also b wrong lol...we learned that with correct bagarius id's.

Head spots are irrelevant...all species have them

Im doin my best guys...bear with me. I thought i was making it easy with that last round of pics lol...maybe im biased being an artist in that my entire life and profession is extremly visual so i can clearly see things others may look over. Like most fish species, there can be general exceptions to the "rules" and variances in the species themselves but it all comes down to head/body shape and color more so than pattern. Pattern will give u some clues also but there all so close from 8"-20" it can b very confusing.
