can i see some picture. I think i can help you however, picture would identify everything. I have flowerhorns myself. umm you can feed it peas or add salt and raise the temperature to 82-84..... 84+ is never required unless u want a fried flowerhorn than go ahead. How many gallon tank is he in? Do you have any sucker fish that filtrate the tank? WC 15% everyday till it goes back to active. What type of food do you feed it. I highly suggest you just feed your flowerhorns diet pellets Grand Sumo red enhancer or Head Booster & Sp 80 or sp 100. That is it hahha nothing else in my mind. ummmm when you feed worms make sure to post what kind because some worms would kill ur flowerhorn.

Most people raise temps to 86-88 to treat Ich, I guess all the people that treat their Flowerhorns the that way fried their fish? My point is that raising the temperature above 84+ for a short period of time won't harm a flowerhorn. I see you post irrational advice on Flowerhornusa, I suggest you do more research before giving out bogus advice.

To OP, If he's pooing white stringy poo then it looks like he has hex T_T

Hex it is, and it can be very lethal if not cured before it hit its highest point. Once it hits to its highest point, the fish will stop eating and stop swimming. Then it's done there...treat it now while you can. Use metro if you have to do so, as long as your fish survives.

It is sure is, make sure you buy the aquarium stuff and its powder. The ones for human use works also, but they are tablets and they don't dissolve easily. The tablets for aquarium use doesn't dissolve easily also. This site will tell you how to use it coming from hobbyist who successfully cured hex with metro multiple times when Epsom Salt isn't available.
