Please tell me where I gave misleading info. Instead of looking for reasons to critique info, why don't you give some yourself. He asked what was it mixed with I said trimac for sure. That is obvious. I said mine was listed at the store as timac/hybrid. I never once ever said its a Trimac cichlid. I clearly stated I knew it was a hybrid. Maybe read a bit more carefully. Btw flowerhorns have the horn aka large head fat deposit from breeding with the parrot cichlid. Its clear my fish was not mixed with one therefore its a hybrid not really a flowerhorn/hybrid because he does not have the horn genes. Maybe go read all the post I made and please quote my misleading information.... sigh forum police.:chillpill:

not really true, not all flowerhorns have a large nuchal hump some have 'hard kok' where they really don't grow a large horn - it doesn't stop them from being a flowerhorn
 
Yes i know all Fhs don't get big kok your absolutely right about that. But an educated guess would say in no way was my fish crossed with an parrot cichlid either. His body is too normal. And correct me if I am wrong but isn't that like the main ingredient if you will, for a flowerhorn.

Get used to it, there is ALWAYS people on here who will jump down your throat thinking they know better than you after not actually reading anything you write.

I agree with what your saying. Its deffo a Trimac based Fader possibly with a red devil.
 
really depends on what you consider normal body shape ;P

I addressed the wrong info. The whole breeding with a BP to get a huge hump thing, is false. There is quite a few different fish used to get Flowerhorns to get their large humps. No doubt the Red Devil/Midas was used, along with many vieja's.

You would have no idea what your fish was crossed with. Just because a fish does not show the characteristics physically, does not mean it isn't crossed with something else. Blood parrots may be one ingredient for Flowerhorns, but not the main ones.

Miss understanding no worries. And about the BP thing ok im just going by everything I have read it always states the cross back with the blood parrot as being a flowerhorn but hell who knows who is writing that stuff.

Possible but doubtful there is BP in there. And I do have an idea what its crossed with. The most obvious being Trimac. ( Obviously not 100 percent Trimac and I am not stating this in any way at all) <Covering my ass
 
that is a flowerhorn...i have a very similar one at the same size..n i bought it as a flowerhorn and i agree with WATER that in order to produce flowerhorn with a huge head many combinations of south american cichlids and other flowerhorns are used.but afcourse there are flowerhorns without a big kok and this is withouit doubt one of them
