Please help identify these Channa!

Hiii?.
First time poster, so please go easy on me??
I have a Channa since two months ago and have fallen head over heels for this fish and the entire Snakehead species.
These Channa need a new home but the current owner doesn't know what kind they are, just that the adults are around 40 cm long.
I'm leaning towards them being channa aurantimaculata, but am not sure.
I have their permission to post these pictures to help identify them.
Please help if you have any ideas!!

What a beauty. Whatever it is, it is stunning. Snakehead are a secret passion of mine. I had micropeltes (I live in the UK) so they’re legal here. The way they used to move in the water astounded me. Such speed, almost like a bullet. But so gracefully too. I’m going over to the dark side now - saltwater haha
