well i want to tell you all thanks and i really appreciate all the help this is why i stay on monster fish! but if there is any more words of wisdom then plz keep it coming..

The best words of wisdom right now are, get your water tested first. Everything else is just guessing. Whenever you have a problem with your tanks your water parameters are the first thing you should look at. Why? This pretty much identifies or eliminates what might be the biggest issue tanks have.

Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but anything anyone offers without the params can do as much harm as good. Also, after looking at your list, I'm convinced your tank isn't ready for the load, especially if you added them at the same time or within a very short period of time.

If you decide to make any changes to your water, I suggest getting some Cycle to help you biological along, though it won't be a cure all, it will still take some time.

On a final note, I want to be clear I'm not lecturing or criticizing, just being direct. Good Luck.

i went to the LPS and the girl said my hp and ammonia where a little high which i knew my ph was 7.5 and then my nitrite was up just a little less than .25!

An established tank should have 0 ammonia and nitrite. Both ammonia and nitrite are very toxic to fish...your biological filtrations role is to turn those into nitrate, which is less harmful, but still needs to be removed through water changes.

But I'm not really sure what you should do, as spaceman mentioned before, maybe water changes right now aren't the best idea.../shrug

I see one huge flaw in your system... You have had your tank setup for 1 month(?) and you do 1-2 water changes a week????

#2 Water changes DO NOT need to be this frequent, moreover on a "lightly" stocked tank, and especially on a new tank. #3 Referring to #1 and as stated above, check your params.... ammonia and nitrites specifically.

#1 i've never heard nor seen any problems with doing frequent water changes ever whether it be a new/old lightly stocked or crowded tank. fresh/clean water doesn't do harm so i'd never advise not changing out dirty water for clean water at any time. imo.

#2 yes, he can stop doing those water changes which will allow the tank to cycle faster....but it's too late for that since he has fish in there, if you stop the water changes now you really risk harming the fish if not killing them. yes it will take longer to cycle with doing the water changes but it could save his fish.... so that's his choice.

#3 the best solution is get those fish out of there and actually cycle the tank if that is an option because i agree as stated the tank is not ready for all those fish.
