I just received (3) Kelberis from Arran at FishInAbowl and they came in super skinny, damaged tail fins, closed fins, and covered with ICH!!!:(

I called Arran right away and sent him pictures of the kelberis that arrived in very poor health and covered with ich. He told me he was sorry and they should pull through. I have been treating fish with ich in the hobby for many years with no problem. But these guys are in such poor health that each hour that passes their ich is getting worse.

I put them in a quarantine tank, raised temperature to 86F, used salt, and lots of oxygen. They are showing no signs of recovery and their ich is getting worse. I now turned to quickcure medication and used a very small dosage with partial water changes.

They haven't eaten ever since I got them from Arran. They are dark and swims in a odd pattern. They ich is turning from white to yellow and they are now in very bad shape.

Please someone help me!!!! What should I do to help these kelberis, I paid a lot of money for these sick fish.

I have ordered from Snook21, Jeff Rapps, Rich, Wes, and they always ship me super healthy fish. This is my first time ordering from FishInABowl and this is what he says after everything per email today:

"They were perfectly healthy when they left my fishroom. Lets put some feeders in and see how they pull through."

This guy tells me to put feeders in there???????????

Here are the pictures of the kelberis after I got them in the mail.

That sucks....how long have you had them. Give it time...dont add any more meds at the moment. I wouldnt have used the quick cure personally....just the salt. Do wc's every other day. What have you tried to feed them?

Bump the heat up to 89-90. What are you using for the ich? Try to get the ph reading as well. How long has the tank been up and running? What size tank are they in?

If they dont make it u shud ask for full refund but if he doesnt....leave him some marketplace feedback;) i would add some feeders just to get something into them.....better than nothing......just keep up with the salt

I have been doing partial water changes every other day. I tried feeding them pellets.

Temperature had been raised to 86-88F. Salt and quickcure that I have been using for years with great success on cichlas.

I am going to leave him a negative feedback, but I wanted to handle this matter in a respectful way. I first tried this is private PM, but he makes up lame excuses and gives me the run around. He won't even help fix this matter after I spent an arm and a leg on these kelberis. Snook21, JeffRapps, Wes, Rich, and all the other venders that I ordered from, always send me healthy fish. I will just have to leave him what he deserves. These guys are pretty bad and now covered with ich everywhere.:(

Id toss some clean live black worms in there to get some food in there bellies. Or some frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp or market shrimp....even silversides. Get something in there bellies to help em out. Even if they were eating pellets...they are so stressed you need to give em something they will readily accept.

1st bad part on the vendor 2nd when exactly did you recieve them? by your posting you got them today..

from personal experiance this is what i do and its worked everytime..i know some will disagree..

raise the temp to 88-90 degrees..use to medium airstones small water ciculator..

day one..use quickcure..

2nd day 45% wc replace the water then ad salt

3rd day repeat steps 1

4th day repeat 2nd day n so on..

from my person experiance its worked within a week..do ad guppies or tiny gf..cut the tails off to make them swin slow these guys need stuff in their belly to gain back their strength..cutting of the feeders tails will make them easier to catch..

good luck bro n really hope they pull threw..

btw thx for posting about the vendor, i'll never order from him..

That's pretty crappy of the vendor. I doubt they developed all that ich while shipping. Did he use heatpads?
