Please help me decide!

I'm either getting a 40g breeder or a 75 gallon (depending one what my parents say when my brother moves out). And if I get the 40 I can't decide between a GT, jack dempsey, and a sveni! I want a fish that will be fun to watch feed on feeders every now and then, and be owner responsive. Which one would you suggest? Also if I get the 75 can I put one of each in it?

I don't know about the GT and the other fish. But you can NOT put a Dempsey in a 40gal tank. Dempsey's need at LEAST a 55 gallon tank. BUT, even a 55 is a bit small for a Dempsey.

Why not go with smaller Cichlids??? What about Bolivian or German Rams??? You could always have an Angel in that tank.
 
Gt's would look good in a 75 so would a jd or a sevni, haha, gt's are very pretty they will eat feeders but so will the others
 
jd and gt are to big for a 40 bdr. a 55 minimun for a single jd or a single gt, and that is only if the GT is female. a male will be much to big. if you got the 75 you could the one gt OR 2 jd. i don't know about the pike.
 
You would be fine with two JDs and a GT,in a 75 the pike will get to big.
Get yourself some dithers as well.
