Please help me with my new tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
u could transfer the media form one of the tanks to the filter on the new tank, that would quite possibly eliminte the cycle, and the existing tank wouldnt be affected as the bacteria would be able to recolonize much easyer than starting from scratch as in the new tank....

Thanks. I have used a whole bottle of cycle on it. The thing with the other filter media is is that one is a cannister (Eheim 2215) and the other is a HOTB(Eliete Hush 35) can I just put the media in the tank its self? or would that be a bad idea? Thanks

The Hush 35 only pumps 135 gph or so. With your stock in your 30 you might want to think about throwing the hush on the back of the 75 and getting an Emp 280 or an AC 70 for the 30.

When I start new tanks, I transfer a little gravel. My other trick is I run dual biowheels emps and penguins on the back of my tanks So when I start a new one, I shuffle an established biowhell off of one my other tanks a couple of days after the tank is up and running.

I think all you need to do is wait out the cycle and keep testing.

wow you like read my mind! Im really hoping I can get an Emp. 400 for the 75g. I also used a bottle of cycle in the 75 to so the process would go faster. Thanks
