F***K!!!!!! right now he is going ballistic in the tank. tried holding him under the airstone to help him catch his breath with no results... i really dont want to lose this one

Most fish with an air bladder infection will otherwise be acting normal. Even eating, just forced to stay at the surface. This sounds worse.

yea when i checked the tank i thought he was at the top because he was hungry, but when i looked closer it didnt look so good.

Sorry man. I've read that the "spiraling" isn't good news. I think it happens when they ram into the glass really hard, I could be wrong though.

Now that the lights are off you really can't do much but watch.

If it looks like he is losing his willpower you can gently lull him back and forth in the water to try reviving him, but I wouldn't handle him unless it's a last resort.

That's entirely up to you. It's not a method I practice and most people would suggest not euthanizing unless you're using clove oil.

Did you test your water? Has anything happened to your tank in the last week or so?
