dont be so sensative about the tank size

tigs are not as bendy as other fish and need a larger space than 2ft to turn when fully grow

30inch or 36inch would be better later on for the tig IMO
Its not about being sensative i have plenty more tanks that will house him with ease its not a problem:irked: All i asked was about the little bump on his snout not my tank size

OK from the bump on the nose it looks like he has been thrasing about and bumped his nose

a wider tank may help this problem in the future

as for the whiskers not hitting both sides if the tig is 19inch then each whisker will be 10-12inch so not far off 24inch when you add them up

the bent nose thing is normal on some tigs my old tig had the same thing

Ya for some reason this guy does not have very long wiskers maybe 6 or 7 inches each kind of wierd cause my little 6-7 incher has huge wiskers 4 inches on his i guess it just varries who knows? thanks

By the way i'm not trying to be a arse just most people try that big tank stuff just to be *** i think you mean well so it's my bad..... I guess he's ready for the 300?

looks like a blister or something - I've just looked at the pics again - no idea what could have caused it - i'd watch it and see if it grows - it couldn't be a burn could it?

I'm not talking about the bent snout it's the bump on the snout befor the curve down i guess you people cant see it!!!!:screwy:
I was saying that the best snout is the only thing wrong with it the bump is most likely a result of the snout getting bent

if you have a 300 and it's already cycled then I can't see a single reason other than a 3' rtc that would keep you from putting this gorgeous fish in there. More space can't hurt, but you're right technically that tank he's in now should be fine. Just remember that different species of catfish have different requirements and just maybe this one needs a bigger tank to feel more comfortable. It's not always about being able to turn.
