hen I woke up thismorning everything was normal , she greated me when I went to feed her, I put in the blood worms she ate them all almost right away as normal. When I went to feed her tonight she did not greet me as normal, she was just sitting on the botom of the tank not really moving, I dropped in the blood worms watched her for a bit, she still didnt move much and then walked away. I came back about an hour later and she was still pretty much in the same position and none of the blood worms were eaten which is extremely odd because she always eats them all almost as fast as I put them in. When I looked her over to see if anything was wrong I noticed that one eye was totally normal but one eye is bright red and she has a red mark in the middle of her head. I am at a loss and beside my self as to her condition and what to do. I am praying you guys will be able to help me out on figuring out what is wrong and how to cure her. She is a very special pet to me and If I loose her it will totally crush me beyond belief. I am going to post pictures of both her eyes and the mark on her head. She is in the grow out tank by herself with nothing but a sand bottom and all the levles are perfect. 7.0Ph 0.0 Amonia 0.0 Trites and between 0.0 to 5.0 Trates. Thank you guys so much for all your help!!

Any tankmates?? I hope u feeding her more den jus bloodworms.. and how often do u feed her??
She seems really under fed.. please remove any potential tankmates that could have done damage to her..
I nvr had a ray with a bloodshot eye.. but hope my advice helped..

Do u have a exposed heater or something..?? U can try melafix.. But small amount pls..
Rays are really sensitive to medications.. I use it if i dont have a choice..
I use 1/10 the dosage on adults rays.. usually they are fine..
I ever had a pup that was bitten senseless and i managed to save it..
Use 1/15 the recommended dosage..

Update:( She was swimming around the tank and eating like normal for a few days then all of a sudden today she totally stopped eating everything all together and started staying in one spot. Tonight when I went to tank the old food out and feed her again I noticed that she seems to start to float up on one side to flip over on her back but then flips her self right back then sits back on the bottom. It's like all the life is sucked right out of her in a matter of hours. I did another water test to see if a water change was needed and the levels were as follows so I figure no need in stressing her out.

Temp 82F
Ph 7.0-7.2
Ammonia 0.0 ppm
Nitrites 0.0 ppm
Nitrates 2.0-3.0 ppm

Right now she is alone in a 55 Grow out tank to beef her up a little bit before she goes in with the big boys and while I get my sand bottom in my 210. I am running an aquaclear 70 with the bio sponge, Carbon bag and Bio pellets for media. One single air stone with an air pump rated for a 55gallon tank and 200W heater. I have no clue what is wrong with her or what to do, I am beside myself that I can't help her,It is killing me to see her go from such a happy active little ray to the state she is in now. Also The mark on her head in the picture is getting better and her eye is slightly less red. If anyone has any advice on what to do especially on how to get her to start eating like a pig again Thank you from the bottom of my heart wouldn't even begin to describe the gratitude I will have. Thank you guys for all your time!!

I will Take pictures right now and post them. She looks under fed to me and the guy at the store was only feeding her two blood worm cubes a day which I bumped up the amount and what she was eating right away. I turned the filter off tonight to try to make things calmer for her and give her some quiet time. I plugged it back in quickly to churn up the water to get the blood worms to the bottom and it bounced her around pretty bad:-( I also noticed when I saw her belly tonight it was extremely transparent. I doubt I will be able to get a belly picture but I will snap a bunch of pictures of her right now and post them up in 10 minutes or so. Than you so much for all your help!!!!
