So sorry to hear of your loss. Don't get discouraged, figure out what was wrong, fix it if it's something you can fix, and try again. Remember the good and look forward to it again!

do the water change ever 2 other day add a lot of salt , temp 82* to 83* , let hope you can save her
Thank you everyone for all your kind words, they are really helping me through these crappy times.So I called the place where I got her and come to find out that the entire time he had her he would feed her one blood worm cube a day poor hope was starved to the point that I couldn't bring her back. that all explains why i had to hand feed her anything but blood worms. I feel a bit better knowing it was nothing I did but I feel like I let her down not being able to save her and I am still completely beside myself over loosing hope 
I do plan on getting another ray or possibly 2 at some point but I defiantly learned my lesson and need to find a place to get them from that deals with them specifically or specializes in them.

Sorry to hear this...... I don't know what I would do in your situation, it sure must be ****.
It's very disappointing how much the fish store was feeding her, I am interested in the cause of those marks also though. I wish you all the best... and encourage you to give it another go as you mentioned doing. Keep Hope in mind and bring the new rays up right! unlike the pet store.

She will defiantly be in my mind when I am ready to get another Ray. It is just hitting me so hard because despite how hard I tried I couldn't save her, She was so young to pass away. When I got her I was in a severely deep depression and as soon as I saw her in the store I smiled for the first time in a long time and actually felt a little bit of happiness so at that minute I knew she was coming home with me. That's why I named her hope because I figured if such a small creature could make me smile like that and make me feel slight happiness despite being in the dark depression I had been in for a while there is hope for anything in the world. Sorry for the rant, It's just been a really tough day.
Dont give up.. All of us had some fish that could not make it to the next day..
Lets just hope that things will be better for u.. I suggest that u reestablish ur tank..
Check the water parameters.. If u have an exposed heatr or so.. KEep it covered up next time..
Dont give up on trying again.. Hope may have passed but u can always find a new destiny with another ray in the near future..

Thank you so much!! It is still killing me trying to figure out what happened to her I still have the grow out tank that she was in set up and there is literally nothing she could have injured herself on, The only thing I can think of is something may have happened to her at the store and it was so small I never noticed it until it grew. The more I think about it anything is possible there since when she passed I called the store just to ask some questions to make sure I did everything right and come to find out the idiot was feeding her 1/2 a blood worm cube 2 times a day and told me that was even a little too much :-( I will be getting another ray some day but before I do I want to make sure that the big tank is 100% ray safe since the grow out tank isn't home..lol The one question I have is where can I get a healthy ray from? The shop that Hope came from was a little mom and pops shop that obviously had no clue what they were talking about from the conversation I had with them today.
