Please Help

my ammonia is a little high though, its at 1.0ppm and i dont want my fish to get ammonia poisoning, should i not do my water change tonight? I put the seeded bio media in the AC 110 *Fingers crossed*

I was just trying to help a guy out, sorry I called you a newbie. But just because he turns his water over 20 times an hour doesn't mean it's adequate. In your argument, you say it's not the Bio-media but nitrifers that convert ammonia. That's true but where do these nitrifers gather that's going to do the most good? I'll tell you where, on the bio-filtration media and the more you have the better. If we follow your "common sense", we should not waste our money and the space in our filters on Bio media because it's worthless. I'll go home tonight and take all the bio-balls out of my wet dry because according to you, as long as I have 20 times water turnover, all is good.

If your filtration is sufficient, you should have no ammonia and no nitrites....only nitrates. I think you should be doing fine from here on out.
