please ID my wolf fish, Aimara????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thats a Sao Felix aimara for sure .I had one

To clarify the 1st pic i can kinda see the black blotch on the opercle membrane, so if that feature is confirmed its Aimara. The other pic #2 below seems to be the H curupira. So a better picture would be helpful if possible. One thing to remember is that when looking at juvenile Aimara. They might look slightly differant from location to location. But when they get older and mature many tend to lose some of those unique bodily characteristics in general such as color, eye color etc. So in other words as they get older that gap closes a little more and they all look more alike as they older...Just an observation~

thank you so much.....my friends. I will have new project. My friend would like to sell his Aimara about 13-14 inches in size to me. It is the biggest of Aimara in Thailand as i know. i will take the photo to you.
One question: Aimara 14 inches in tank 48*20*20, Is it too small for short term?

Should be fine for a little while, but be sure to upgrade, they grow into monster size so they need the space.
