jardinis are also known as australian arowanas right?

Jardini's and Leichardti's are both Austrailian Arowana. Jardini's are much more common and IMO look better. Leichardti's have darker spots and not as much of a gold sheen. What you have looks like Jardini.

=\.
today, i was watching T.V next to my tank.
i kept hearing the water splashing a little, so i was like wtf? turns out my jardini was jumping out of the water. the lid was on so i wasnt worried.
a few hours late, when i was feeding my fish , i noticed the jardini was missing his 2 front whiskers. i was like, maybe its in his mouth or something, so i fed my fish and walked away.
i just checked on him, and he's floating vertically with his nose pointed on the surface of the water.....
whats wrong w/ my jardini???
the water parameters are fine and none of the other fish are acting strangely, not even the other jardini.
his 2 front whiskers are definately gone, and i do not know where they are. (they were kinda black and looked as if they were rotting earlier today though).

i only have big als water conditioner, so i put some on my jardini hoping he would heal a bit, but that did nothing. he's not moving very much anymore and only struggles occasionally.

did this have anything to do w/ him jumping out of the water? (he never landed on the floor or anything, maybe he hit the lid at most, but i doubt it.)

I would say the bang you heard was it smashing into the end of the tank causing it to damage its self then knock its self out the jardini I have had did not like there own kind so might be the 2 of them having a fight just don’t know how aggressive they are when that small

Yeah he could of hurt him self, jumping. put a divider in for now just tilll he heels.

i do have a divider set up already. half the tank belongs to my juvy P's and the otherside is for my tiger barbs. i placed both the jardinis in the tiger barb side at first and they did fight so i separated one.i put him in the piranha side (not the one who's messed up right now), but the piranhas nipped his fins, so i set him in a 2.5 gallon tank.

i checked this morning, and i found my jardini (the injured one) on my piranha side . his eye was missing and a big chunk of his lower body is gone also =\. i dont know how he managed to jump past the divider , but now he's dead T_T.
i just fed my Piranhas a $30 feeder T_T.

sorry for your loss man...aro's are pretty sensitive when young and super skittish. my silver stunned himself against the hood when i turned on the aquarium light once.
